Emergency Center

Every major hospital will have an emergency center where an emergency care is needed. Heart attacks, strokes, or if the patient is a potential threat to themselves or others will likely involve going to an emergency center. The patient, or someone close by will contact 911 which will call for the medical emergency. In rural counties, there might not be an ambulance right away. If that is the case, then there will be an emergency care team that would go to the site. The goal is to stabilize the patient until an ambulance can reach them, and take the patient to the hospital.

An emergency center will be at the discretion of the ambulatory care. One could choose to drive themselves to the hospital, and this might make sense considering some circumstances, but if the emergency is not a true emergency, then Health1 might not cover the visit, and therefore – the patient will receive a bill, and a payment plan option.
