Welcome

Welcome to the Health1 System for Kaldus. Health1 is a single payer healthcare system. While somewhat common in most industrialized countries, there are still a few (like the United States) that has a broken healthcare system. With Kaldus being a single payer system, this assures that every citizen has the best healthcare as possible. This will go one step forward where the government will own all of the hospitals in the nation. This will make the system cheaper, and hopefully more efficient. The goal is to make sure everyone has the opportunity to have quality care.

In Kaldus, every Kaldan citizen will have free health care. Expats, and foreigners living in the country can buy into the system for a reasonable cost. This purchase requirement will make it a little more affordable, and with the foreigner paying into the system, they will also be able to receive healthcare for their needs as well. They areĀ not required to have Health1 healthcare, but being there are no other health insurance companies in the country, if they were to get sick, they will be fully responsible for the entire bill.

There will be some cost to the patient. This will come in the form of copays. However, there is no cap on benefits, and no conditions on the health care. There is no denial for pre-existing conditions, and emergency room visits (when an emergency) is covered. There will be attempts to make it as easy to access the clinic and hospitals via public transit. When public transit is not an option, then there will be a door – door system that would be a reasonable cost. Health1 will rather pay for an ounce of prevention than a pound of cure.
